What is Education?

Education is defined as the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, but I believe education is much more then that.
Education is the development of young boys and girls into well-rounded citizens. Through the studies in the classroom to the extra curricular activities after school. It is not about focusing on one single topic instead providing a wide range of choices to give kids different options in their life. Education is also to allow and provide the best opportunity for kids to achieve their goals.

  1. I agree on your definition on Education.
I think education is really important to young children during their development stage. Education takes place not only in the classrooms or on the fields. It appears between one another as well. We learn how to treat each other, communicate and our personal attitudes as well.
Education is not something that only appear in schools.
It is a lifelong learning process.

  2. I liked how you've included the dictionary definition of education with your own definition. It makes your definition stronger and more compelling. I definitely agree that education should not be focused on one specific topic or subject. Like you've said, education should also be defined as the growth and development that people experience every day.

  3. That's a good definition right there. I like how you used the online definition but then improved it because that definition sure is missing some pieces.

  4. I think what you are saying is very true. Kids don't need to be good test writer's you don't write tests when you are working. Kids need to be taught to be well rounded citizens so they can contribute to society.

  5. This is very true. The definition is great. Education is not only in classrooms but in anywhere. Education happens in our daily life. We have to learn how to grow up, how to respect, how to think, etc.

  6. Literature at a high school level is a way of teaching through self-motivation and discipline, it is perhaps the best way teaching. English is the most important course throughout high school that’s why it is mandatory throughout. The lessons learned in English are life long lessons unlike how to solve binomials. You will need to know how to interpret different scenarios throughout life, provided different literatures and studies you should have a good understanding of what to do or what is going on.

  7. I agree with what you are saying. There is a lot more to education than just knowing how to solve a math problem. Education is also about learning how to be a good human being. "Education is the development of young boys and girls into well-rounded citizens." Very well put!

  8. Your saying that "Education is the development of young boys and girls into well-rounded citizens." is so true. Education should be much more than sitting in the classroom and learning the certain subjects. All our experience should also be part of our education since we learn and set up own view of the world from those experience. When we were, we were taught what is right and wrong. From our birth to our death, we are educated to be who we are.
